The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 293 - 293 Getting Stronger <2>

General Ryan nearly choked when he heard his son’s proud tone. He looked at this brat in front of him and silently calculated the chance for him to win the battle against Kyle.

Unfortunately, Kyle’s abilities gave him too much advantage.

He had to ask the research institute to make those restraining device for these abilities faster. He wanted to try it to beat up his son first.

If the researchers were to know what General Ryan was thinking, they would definitely be speechless.

They didn’t make this device for that reason, got it?

“I’m implementing the new law and going to announce it for them to not use their abilities inside the city. If they really want to, they can head to the wall and then fight those giant mutated animals outside the city.” General Ryan snorted.

Kyle thought about General Ryan’s ideas and nodded. “That would be quite nice, but I don’t think it’ll be possible.”

General Ryan rolled his eyes. “At least, the soldiers are more stronger than these people. They will get used to it soon.”

.....

Kyle shrugged, noncommittal.

“Now, help me spread this, brat.”

“Why are you asking me to do your work, old man? Isn’t it enough that you’re the one who had to work.”

“You stinky brat, just go.”

“Tsk, you’re abusing your power!”

Even though Kyle was complaining, he still followed what his father said and spread the news. The excited soldiers tried to calm down and then walked out of the training grounds to control the situation.

With many people grew stronger overnight, this would be their busy day.

<Research Institute, City E>

While Kyle and the others were busy, Kate leisurely went to the research institute. By now, there has been a registered card for her to come here when she wanted to.

Even though her own status was not enough for her to become a researcher, her father and boyfriend were both members of the research institute. Their ranks were also very high, so she got this special privilege.

Walking through the familiar corridor, Kate thought for a moment then paid a visit to Lucas.

With the third red rain, his ability should also increase, so she wanted to know how his condition now was.

“Ms. Kate.” The researcher, Lica, noticed Kate and greeted with a smile.

Kate nodded. “Researcher Assistant Lica. Is Lucas available for a short visit?”

“Yes.” Lica giggled. “You’re so formal and Lucy had already said that everyone from Black Team can visit her brother.”

“Oh, she said that?”

Kate thought that Lucy would not give them special attention, but it seemed that she didn’t mind them paying a visit to her brother.

“Yes. In fact, she said it’ll be better if you can beat him up.” Lica looked at Kate helplessly. When she thought of Lucy’s sudden request back then, she was shocked.

This was the first time she saw such a sister.

Kate: “…”

Should she say, as expected of Lucy?

When she was in the university, Kate had heard of Lucas making trouble and his flirting habits. It was Lucy who often beat up her brother when he was messing up with others. With her martial arts… Lucas always end up having to spend a few days on the bed because of bruises and wounds.

It was really miserable.

Knock! Knock!

“Lucas, your sister’s friend is here to visit you.”

“Ah?”

The door opened and Kate could see Lucas sitting on the bed with several machines and Dr. Dall standing not far from the machine. It seemed that Dr. Dall was also doing some testing to figure out Lucas’ advancement due to the red rain that happened not long ago.

“You’re… Kate?” Lucas rummaged his brain for Kate’s name before calling.

“Yes.” Kate nodded. “How are you?”

“I’m fine except for the fact that they kept on doing testing for me.” Lucas pointed at the researchers around him helplessly. Now that he was technically a ‘test subject’ these people wouldn’t leave him alone.

The good thing was that he would be able to see these pretty female researchers who were also a half.

Looking at their cute furry figures…

*cough*

Kate noticed Lucas’ look and silently maintained her distance. It seemed that it was not without reason that Lucy loved to beat up Lucas. This brat truly needed to be beaten up badly.

“Any changes of your ability?”

“Oh? I can control my other ability a bit.” Lucas scratched the back of his head and grinned. “But only for a few seconds. After that, it’ll still mix with my other elements and affect everything I make.”

Kate nodded.

The third red rain made Lucas stronger, but it seemed that his improvement was very small. It might have been affected by the fact that his crystal was cracked or because of some other reasons unknown.

After all, Lucas’s mutation was with a mouse and the combination was not really good.

“Any changes, Dr. Dall.”

Dr. Dall glanced at Kate and thought about it for a moment. Normally, sensitive information couldn’t be spread out, but Kate was a special case and Dr. Dall would feel bad if he ended up being beaten up by Kyle later.

He had been tortured by that damn man for various annoying reasons.

“There’s improvement in the rank but for the illusion element, the improvement is very little. It seems that even the red rain couldn’t improve his ability too much.” Dr. Dall was still checking the data.

Normally, the red rain would allow their abilities to go up by leaps and bounds.

But Lucas’ case was different.

His improvement was very little, close to nonexistence. But it had also allowed him to his ability much better than before.

So Dr. Dall was more confused.

Anyway, if he didn’t know, he will just try to figure it out one way or another through the research and testing.
