The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 309 - 309 Second Date in Different City <2>

She snorted.

“Lucy, let’s go to the beauty shop. I heard that there’s already one opened in this city.”

“Ah?” Lucy looked at Lotte with confused expression. She saw Jake’s dark face and didn’t dare to agree.

Even if Jake was the most easy going person in the group, his strength was still in the forefront. She might be strong with her enhancement ability, but if she couldn’t get close to her target, this strength would be useless.

“I was thinking of leaving with Robby today.”

“…If you’re going with Robby, where should I go then?” Marc rolled his eyes. He felt that Robby is more popular than him.

“Of course, going with me too.”

“Good.”

.....

Lotte snorted and glared at Jake.

But when she turned around, Jake naturally had returned to his sunny expression. It was as if the gloomy young man who looked at Lucy just now was not him.

Kyle was too lazy to deal with them and pulled Kate up. “Let’s go and take a walk.”

“Okay.” Kate giggled lightly. She felt that watching Jake an Lotte was really amusing. The two of them quarreled a lot but their relationship was extremely stable as if they were not afraid of anything.

It was amazing.

Kyle and Kate walked out but neither of them knew where they wanted to go. Looking at the street in City C, Kyle thought for a moment before pointing to one direction.

“The chocolate factory is over there. Mr. White said that we’re allowed to see the process.”

The process itself was not a secret.

Before these giant mutated animals appeared, they had been spread out through the television station from time to time.

Anyway, there was no chocolate factory in City E. Since they were in City C, they will just pay a visit to the places that didn’t exist in City E and only exist exclusively in City C. That way, they would maximize their benefit in coming to City C this time.

Kate smiled brightly. “Can we also have a sample?”

“You can ask.” Kyle chuckled.

“Okay!” Kate happily agreed.

Kyle smiled and extended his hand. Kate looked at his hand and naturally placed her hand on top of his. Holding hands together felt really good and Kate wouldn’t shy away from this one.

They walked on the street, watching the people walked there.

There were still some ruins that was in the midst of being cleaned out. But in the overall, it was still passable for the people who was staying here.

“The order of the world is slowly returning,” Kate murmured under her breath.

She felt both happy and conflicted.

Happy because it meant that there would come the time when they wouldn’t need to worry about their lives and death at any moment.

Conflicted because she knew that the presence of these giant mutated animals and awakened would definitely change many things in the future.

“It’s fine.” Kyle nodded and looked at the street. “Things will become better.”

“Mhm.”

“What do you like to eat?”

“Huh?” Kate was stunned when she heard Kyle’s sudden question. Seeing his gaze, she chuckled lightly. “Something sweet.”

“Sweet, huh?” Kyle arched his eyebrows, looking at Kate deeply.

“What is it?”

“I’m thinking if there’s any candy store nearby.”

“Candy store?” Kate blinked her eyes. White Family specialized in chocolate but it didn’t mean that they didn’t have candies. Though, it was just a branch and didn’t seem to be overly focused.

Thinking about the fact that she hadn’t eaten any candy for a long time, Kate suddenly feel a bit hungry.

“The chocolate is already being made again, so I’m thinking that there should also be candy store,” Kyle explained calmly.

“We can ask in the factory later.”

Kate pointed to the front where the sign of White Family’s factory could be seen. It was located near the end of the city so that the noise wouldn’t affect the household. However, it could be said to be near their hotel because their hotel was the one nearer to White Family.

“The location is quite good.” Kyle nodded and then stepped forward, talking to the guard and then to the manager so that they could take a look.

The manager smiled when he heard Kyle’s request. “This factory had only started operating again around a month or two ago. Some people liked to come here to take a look, but you have to be accompanied to make sure that you didn’t interfere with the worker’s work and also didn’t add anything inside.”

“I see.” Kyle nodded, understanding their reason.

In any case, he and Kate just wanted to take a look.

The two of them stepped inside as the manager introduced the way they worked. Kate listened attentively, asking some questions from time to time and finally asked whether they could have a taste of the final product.

“There are some samples at the front. I can bring them to you,” The manager said kindly.

“Thank you.” Kate’s eyes sparkled.

“Don’t eat too much,” Kyle reminded. He could still remember the little cat who snacked from time to time in the past.

“I never eat too much!” Kate argued weakly.

“Heh.” Kyle glanced at Kate.

Kate blushed but didn’t try to explain more. Anyway, she knew it was useless to explain when Kyle already knew how much she usually liked to snack.

The manager came back with a bag. “Here you go, Miss.”

“Thank you. How much is this?” Kate asked.

“There’s no need to pay.” The manager waved his hand.

“How can it be. The chocolates are known to be quite expensive.”

“Ah, that… The higher up had instructed that members of Black Group didn’t have to pay if they paid a visit.”

Kate was stunned and turned to look at Kyle.

When did that happen?
