Mr. Fang's Feisty Mistress

Chapter 35 Suspicion Confirmed

Butler Gu found Zhang Liling in the kitchen drinking water from the dispenser and became speechless for a minute.

She forgot to serve water to her Boss but was here having some.

"Miss Zhang, you forgot to put a bottle of water in Mr. Fang\'s bedroom, but I will help you do that. Quickly send a bottle to his study, he is waiting," The butler instructed with a serious gaze before turning to pick a bottle of water from the refrigerator and left.

\'Wait! I can see Mr. Fang already?\'

With that exciting thought, Zhang Liling quickly took out a bottle of water from the refrigerator and a glass cup from the shelf. She put these two on a tray before carrying them with her.

It looks like her excitement over seeing Mr. Fang\'s overshadowed her rational thoughts. She forgot that she could be kicked out immediately if he was to see her.

Getting to the study, Zhang Liling carefully adjusted the tray to one hand before raising her right fist to knock twice on the door before pushing it open.

The excitement on her face seems to never cease as she made her way into the study, despite the warning bells in her head, and the danger signs her heart was giving to her.

Zhang Liling had a little misconception about her palpitating heartbeats. She thought it was due to being excited about seeing Mr. Fang, instead of being scared of what his reaction would be.

Closing the door behind her, she paused in her steps and glanced over at the desk to see Mr. Fang staring keenly at his laptop.

Without bothering to take a good look at the remaining part of the study, she continued in her steps towards his desk and announced in a light tone, "Mr. Fang, I have brought the water you asked for,"

Again, Mr. Fang heard that familiar voice and wanted to look up, but he became distracted by the information he had just seen on his laptop and clicked away without responding or raising his head.

Zhang Liling knew she heard him, but thought he didn\'t want to be bothered so, she put the tray on his desk. Turned the glass cup before uncapping the bottle and poured some of its content into the glass and capped the bottle back.

Pushing the glass of water close to him, she said, "Here it is."

Mr. Fang glanced at the glass of water from his peripheral view and saw the chillness emitting from it, and the fog that clung to the body of the glass and became annoyed.

Was he going to take his meds with a glass of chilled water?

He was going to ask why chilled water was brought for him and not a bottle of room temperature water when something else caught his attention.

Normally, he would already be irritated, if not a little, by the scent of whoever just walked in and came in a close range.

Given that he was yet to take his meds for the night, it was normal to be irritated, but surprisingly, he was fine. His nose did not instinctively wrinkle on its own out of discomfort.

\'Don\'t tell me…\'

With that absurd thought, he quickly raised his head to meet Zhang Liling\'s gaze.

Not expecting to meet his gaze since she has already given up and wanted to leave, she backed away a few steps in surprise.

Mr. Fang was more shocked as he stared at her, baffled by her presence. They looked too similar, and remembering the same build his student had, he was conflicted.

At a point, Mr. Fang thought that his eyes were playing games with him. Slowly from surprise, his facial expression changed to anger.

Zhang Liling recovered from her surprise and saw him staring at her like that, and with how quickly his facial expression changed, she just knew that it was not a good sign.

Without saying anything, she bowed and turned to leave, but she heard Mr. Fang say in a commanding tone, "Stop right there, don\'t you dare move an inch!"

Squeezing her face in slight bitterness, she slowly turned to glance at him, only to see him rampaging through the stack of documents on his desk and wondered what he was looking for.

Still, she didn\'t dare to make any move and remained standing at that spot with her head down, while thinking if this was the end of the road.

Five seconds later, Mr. Fang fished out the contract that belonged to his butler and housekeeper. He wanted to ascertain Zhang Liling\'s identity, hence he had to find that housekeeping contract.

When he opened the cover and saw her face which looked slightly different, he shifted his gaze to the name that was boldly written beside it.

When he saw those two familiar words, he slammed the contract on his desk and shifted a furious gaze at Zhang Liling.

Pointing a finger at her, he commanded, "Come here!"

His tone was so harsh that Zhang Liling didn\'t have a choice but to move to his desk with her gaze lowered out of fear of facing his wrath.

All she could think was that she was a goner.

"How did you get in here, how did you come into my house?!" Mr. Fang asked angrily.

He didn\'t need to see the rest of her information to know that it was all fake. What Mr. Fang was most furious about, was that she could maneuver her way and come into his house.

If it was that easy, that means anyone could snitch their way in, wouldn\'t that be a slap to his face given how careful he was with things?

"Mr. Fang, I\'m sorry, I needed your help to stay out of danger," Zhang Liling said almost in tears. Screw being emotional, she was just acting pitiful as a method to remain unscathed.

Seeing how furious he was, he might end up killing her and destroying her soul. At least, she had to try and save her soul, so she could have a next life to meet him through a better circumstance.

"Because I didn\'t agree to that ridiculous idea of yours, you sneaked your way in? Just you wait, I\'m going to hand you over to the police!" AS Mr. Fang said that, he picked up his phone from his desk and dialed Bolin\'s contact.
